Goulash Soup Recipe
This authentic Hungarian soup is perfect for anyone looking for something new and different to cook.
Ingredients:
1 oz. Butter
2 Onions, peeled and cut into rings
5 oz. Lean Pork, trimmed and cubed
4 oz. Chuck Steak, trimmed and cubed
1 Green Pepper, seeded and sliced
1 small Carrot, peeled and sliced
1 small can Tomatoes
1/4 tsp. Salt
Pinch Pepper
Pinch Garlic Salt
1 tsp. Paprika
6 Tbsp. Sour Cream
Directions:
In a large pan, heat the butter and fry the onion until it’s golden brown. Add the meat and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add the green pepper, carrot, tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and paprika, and stir well. Add 3/4 of a pint of water, cover the pot, and let it simmer for an hour. You can add water in necessary.
Before serving, add the sour cream.
For something different, you can add a pinch of cumin, and 2 peeled and cubed potatoes for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
